Bayview Beach Resort is located on the beachfront on the north-western coast of Penang Island. The resort overlooks the tranquil and scenic bay of the "Foreigner's Rock" or Batu Ferringhi. It is 18km or 20 minutes from Georgetown and 33km or 45 minutes from Penang International Airport.

Wifi is available in the hotel room and at the lobby. It is chargeable at RM10 for 1 hour and RM50 for the usage of 24hour.

Registration fees cover:


  • For participant: Workshop fees, materials, teas, lunches and Gala Dinner throughout the conference.
  • For accompanying person: Opening and closing ceremonies and Gala Dinner only.
  • Registration fees do not include Sightseeing Tour, Accommodation and Transportation.


Terms of cancellation:


  • Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent to Pharmed.
  • In case of cancellation of participation
  • on or before 15th October 2010, only 90% of the registration fee will be refunded;
  • between 15th October and 15th November 2010, only 50% of the registration fee will be refunded;
  • on or after 15th November 2010, the registration fee will not be refunded.
  • The terms of cancellation are applicable in all circumstances including visa refusal for the participant and/or accompanying person.

The main objectives of the workshop are to standardize basic requirements for pharmacy education and to initiate trans-border pharmacy education in Asia Pacific region.
